Fitness Racing and Events Are Reaching +7 Million People

Events Are Reaching 7 Million People.  And CEO's and Corporations are using it drive business performance at their work.  

I've seen more and more "Fitness Events" or "Fitness Racing" events happening not only with the likes of Hyrox, Spartan Deka, Deka Fit, Tough Mudder, CrossFit Games but we are also seeing HIIT and Bootcamp style Fitness Brands hosting their own makeshift Fitness Races and Fitness Events in their cities.  

What's Going On... According to AHOTU there are over 7 Million people doing obstacle course, fitness racing, fitness events.... With Hyrox reporting 125,000 people that number may be high or not well defined.  But on a positive Hyrox is forecasting that number to double in 2024 so it is looking like a growth market. Here is how it stacks up;

๐Ÿ”ธ3.05M people do Triathlons 
๐Ÿ”ธ8.9M in non-paved Bike Races 

In Fitness Racing, OCR, etc. we see a lot of Athletes as these are making Fitness a Sport but there is also ANOTHER CROWD!

CEOs and Companies are seeing these events as a core part of their business performance personally, in the company and teams. Why is that... 

I believe it has to do with the Corporate Athlete model I've talked about where you now have a real goal you train for, you can do it solo or as a team and Hyrox has made it much more appealing to the mass population! 

We are seeing a behavior shift from going to the bar/drinks after work to going to the gym after work and now they have shifted their mindset from fitness to athlete. With more CEO's adopting this I think we could see some growth in this area... 

Companies like Salesforce and Google have hired Hyrox to organize sessions for their company. 

A lot of "Fitness Events" have come and gone or had limited crowds based on how hard of specific they were. As an example CrossFit reportedly has 4M consumers and 330,000 participated in CrossFit open. It looks like Hyrox is taking down the complexity and barriers a lot more by making it standardized and open to all ages and fitness levels and plans to have over 200 events each year in each market... According to  Christian Toetzke there market is the 185 million gym members worldwide --- ACCESS

I am curious how many Fitness Brands will add "Fitness Events" or "Fitness Races" to their omnichannel strategy or what partnerships make sense?
